Ephedrine Information

Here we have linked 4 clinical studies and their results:

Study 1:

Study 2:

Multinutrient supplement containing ephedra and caffeine causes weight loss and improves metabolic risk factors in obese women: a randomized controlled trial.

Results:
Forty-one women completed the study. The treatment group lost significantly more body weight (-7.18 kg) and body fat (-5.33 kg) than the control group (-2.25 and -0.99 kg, respectively), and showed significant declines in heart rate, serum cholesterol, triglycerides, cholesterol to high-density lipoprotein ratio, glucose, fasting insulin, and leptin.

Study 3:

Does ephedrine promote weight loss in low-energy-adapted obese women?

Results:

Weight loss was significantly (P less than 0.05) greater during the ephedrine period (2.41 +/- 0.61 kg) than during the placebo period (0.64 +/- 0.50 kg). None of the patients presented clinically important side-effects.

A randomized double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trial of a product containing ephedrine, caffeine, and other ingredients from herbal sources for treatment of overweight and obesity in the absence of lifestyle treatment.

Results:

Subjects receiving the 'active' treatment experienced, on average, an additional 1.5 kg of weight loss compared with subjects receiving the placebo. In addition, subjects receiving the 'active' treatment experienced greater reductions in BMI and waist circumference over the 12-week period. No differences were observed with respect to diastolic or systolic blood pressure, pulse, the occurrence of any adverse event, or the occurrence of any presumed treatment-related adverse event.

Effect of herbal Ephedra sinica and Evodia rutaecarpa on body composition and resting metabolic rate: a randomized, double-blind clinical trial in Korean premenopausal women.

Results:

Among the groups, the most prominent BMI-reducing effect was seen in the ephedra group. No significant adverse effects were observed in serum tests or in the self-questionnaire. Ephedra combined with a low-calorie diet was effective in reducing BMI.

Conclusion:
Much has been said about this unique and effective weight loss supplement, both good and bad. The truth is that ephedrine is one of the few fat burners that genuinely works. Of course there are many so-called weight loss and diet pills for sale that do not work, but ephedrine based products have been proven to work time and time again by clinical university studies.

An interesting thing about Ephedrine based supplements is that they seem to only target the fat for calorie burning, so muscle is spared from being burned for energy which means that dieters lose only the fat and that weight lifters and bodybuilders can still build or at least maintain muscle while on a serious cutting phase.

Ephedrine also comes with a number of other excellent weight loss benefits. Ephedrine is also able to work as an appetite suppressant, blocking signals sent between the hypothalamus area of the brain and the stomach that normally lead to hunger. Therefore, it is also much easier to stick with your diet and exercise plans without the typical cravings for food!

Ephedrine of course is a stimulant and can lead to much greater focus in the gym and in all other aspects of life. This aspect also then helps to counter against fatigue helping you find the energy to stay active and exercise.

Of course it is always best to do your own research and learn exactly what ephedrine is, and explore the potential side effects. So lets continue!

This is a question we receive frequently and it is a very valid question given the number of fake products in this industry.

For this reason we have included publicly our certificate of analysis of our raw powdered Ephedrine HCL. Click the image to zoom.

Put very simply, ephedrine is an alkaloid found in a traditional medicinal plant called Ephedra. In fact, the term ephedra can technically refer to about 50 different species and varieties of plants. However, when most people discuss this plant or herb they are usually referring to the ephedra sinica variety. This plant, also known as Ma Huang, is native to China and parts of India. It is also considered to be one of the oldest medicinal plants known to man since it has been used by a variety of ancient cultures for healing including the Chinese and the Indians. Ephedrine is extracted from Ephedra, purified and made in to a hydrochloride salt. It then becomes Ephedrine Hcl, the pure form we use for all of our supplements.

Of course, side effects may result from any kind of supplement. Fortunately, there have been a number of studies conducted that show ephedrine to be very safe when taken in limited doses. The studies listed above are a great example of that. However we have some recommendations based from the scientific literature. It is not recommended to exceed 60 mg per day. It is also always advisable to start with a very small dose and only increase on a very limited and conservative basis thereafter. Some of the side effects associated with ephedrine use can include headaches, restlessness, excessive perspiration, and nausea. Ephedrine should not be taken by someone with a heart condition or high blood pressure. Do your own research and/or talk to a doctor if you are unsure if this is the right supplement for you.

Ephedrine is not currently classified as a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, so no penalties apply for possession or use of Ephedrine. The only laws surrounding ephedrine regulate it's sale and not it's purchase or consumption.
